Product Pipeline
Midatech’s nanomedicine development programs focus on:
- metabolic disorders, including diabetes
- oncology, including traditional onco-drugs and si/shRNA drugs
Midatech’s advanced development plans focus on:
- vaccines, including prophylactic vaccines and immunotherapy for cancer and chronic viral disorders
In-house and collaborative projects are at various stages of development. Our most advanced product is poised to undergo Phase I/II clinical trials with a projected completion during Q2 2011.
Partnering
In addition to specific pipeline partnerships, Midatech is working with partners on developing the unique properties of drug-nanoparticle combinations to provide a drug delivery platform that will:
- offer a second patent life for approved or generic drugs
- increase drug efficacy by overcoming toxicity or solubility problems that are encountered during drug development
- enhance uptake via novel delivery routes
