The Midatech Group
Midatech utilises a subsidiary model of wholly owned operating companies for targeted commercialisation of its technology, maximising management expertise whilst maintaining close monitoring systems for all Group activities. Midatech Ltd currently has three fully owned subsidiaries.
Midatech Ltd (Head Office)
Established in 2000 with its Registered Office at 4 & 5 Dunmore Court, Wootton Road, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, OX13 6BH, United Kingdom. Midatech's Group Chairman and VP for Corporate Management, as well as a Financial Controller, are responsible for the day-to-day Group operations, including strategic planning, licensing and contract negotiations, legal interactions for the Group and maintenance of the Company's patent portfolio.
Midatech Biogune S.L. (Manufacturing)
Midatech Biogune S.L. is a state of the art facility for the design and manufacture of nanoparticles to cGMP. The fully functioning facility opened in March 2007 and is situated in Bilbao, Spain. Established in 2005 with its registered office at Parque Tecnologico, Edificio 800, Planta 2a. 48160, Derio, Vizcaya, Spain. A Managing Director and team are responsible for the manufacture of synthetic nanocells to both Good Laboratory Practise GLP) and cGMP grade.
Midatech Andalucía S.L (Localised Heating)
Established in 2005 with its Registered Office in Paseo de Delicias 1, 41001, Sevilla, Spain, Midatech Andalucía is responsible for the exploitation of intellectual property relating to magnetic or metallic nanoparticles and their interaction with external electromagnetic fields. This subsidiary is developing a heating device for localised killing of bacteria and cancerous cells.
Cura Vaccines Ltd. (Vaccines)
Established in 2007 with its Registered Office at 4 & 5 Dunmore Court, Wootton Road, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, OX13 6BH, Cura Vaccines is responsible for the commercialisation and exploitation of Midatech Ltd's vaccine platform, including cancer vaccines and vaccines for infectious diseases.
